I'll make a list nearer the time

Chippy - 26/6/07 at 09:55 PM

Hi John, exactly where is this bash, ( and don't say Uxbridge). May be interested, but having some problems with the "Custard Pie" at the moment, some strange sounds from the diff area. I will contact you once/if sorted, and if you still have a space will take it up. ATB Ray.

I quite fancy coming, and just down the road from me.

I'd better check if we are doing anything that day.

Same day as the 2nd heat of the British Savate Championships.

That's two years in a row I'll have missed!

Hi Fozzie, thanks for the info, was expecting some caustic comment from Conrod. Hope to see you all there, wont, for sure, make Newlands, bloody cars in bits. Regards Ray

Fozzie - 27/6/07 at 09:13 PM

You are very welcome Ray....
At the moment the weather isn't looking too good for locosting to Newlands anyway..

A good excuse for getting the car back together in time for Uxbridge.....
Heres hoping for better weather for the show!
See you there!

Was fun. Nice to meet you all.

What the hell was that huge bang and cloud of black smoke over in your direction ? Lighting the barbeque?

Tee-hee.......it was great to meet you too Macbeast

That loud bang? clouds of black smoke......hmmm ...that must have been conrods BBQ skills...... ......the 'bangers' (sausages)...really did go bang!

Actually it was in the arena, in the next field, doing some sort of display......I think...

Glad you had good weather for it.

Glad I didn't go though as I won the event for my weight category.
Only one fight though so I went straight to the final and it was against the World Silver medallist too so I was a bit worried.

But I won it without too many injuries and I was even told by one judge afterwards I had 'Dominated' my opponent! Which amused me greatly!

Cheers,
James

Excellent news James!

All that worrying about who your opponent was going to be...was for nothing!

Kept looking out for you online last night, and checking my mobile...... was getting a bit concerned....

You were no doubt celebrating with a 'lemonade' or 3....

Fozzie

Edit to ask...... Does this mean you are British Champion ........?

Too be honest, I was too knackered last night to think about texting anyone- sorry!

As for the British Championship, after two events I currently have 20 points.
The next two highest placed people have 8 points each.
With only 1 event left this year they ain't got much chance of catching me!

So yes, I suppose I've won the British Championship- bit like Michael Schumacher, winning 2/3 of the way through!

Cheers,
James

Fozzie - 16/7/07 at 03:18 PM

Doh! No problems...re texting!

Most excellent news re the championship though!

Very well done!
