Anybody else on here do the track day at Donington Park today?
Saw a few other LSIS's but as it was mine & my dads frist EVER track day I had my hands full getting out for each session.

Steve
and before anyone gets any ideas, I meant of the trackday - not your wife...
yup got the first three sessions on video. i'll sort them out this evening for you all to laugh at
Hi you must of been the orange mac1 parked next to us all day then.
Myself stevetzoid and Richard Quinn where less than 30ft from you all day in the next garage whith the number 39 red locost racer.
Maybe whilst out all members should be wearing forum id tags so we know each other upon chance meetings
.
cheers matt
gutted and i shouldve recognised you too from picking up the tyres.
you were in the expert class then i guess??
Hi we opted for the blue intermidiate group due to the straight line speeds.
How did you get on. I should have recognised those tyres then.
Cheers matt
i didnt enjoy my frist session as much as i'd hoped and wasnt really fussed about having another session ever again but in the afternoon my
sister wanted to go out on track again and i said id take her instead of my dad whos birthday (& present) it was that day and i REALLY enjoyed the
second session until i overheated the cooling system and had to be towed back to the pits (SOB SOB)
no lasting damage thankfully but an early bath
REALLY enjoyed it and loved getting to play around with braking distances and turn in points and enjoyed seeing what differences in lap times
(unofficial) thrashing it and passengers made.
definately not the last track day i ever do.
In that case, I spotted you getting pulled back in. We were up on the pit wall then as Steve was heading out. Like Matt said, perhaps we all need name
badges or big signs. Matt and I even came over and had a poke over your car at one point during the day.
Hopefully you'll get your cooling system sorted now and the main thing is that there was no lasting damage.
What was the issue with your first session that put you off?

Stress from keeping the trackday a surprise & organising trailer & family etc for the day. Cop out i know but after stuffing myself on my
dads birthday lunch and having relaxed a bit i thoroughly enjoyed my second session.
I left the car to cool down on the trailer and then wanted to see if id seized anything which thankfully i havent yippee
Many thanks to Moggy (Ox) for the loan of his trialer. You ( & your brother richi) are both top top blokes. Thank you very much.
Cant wait for the next one
I might be having my arm twisted for Anglesey on the 15th
Hmmmmmmmmm
2 of my dads 1st session laps are now on youtube
I'll dig out the link in a mo
the quality is very poor compared to the original source vid due to youtube compression and me trying to increase the sound on the vid
Hi it will take a few trackdays to get into the swing of it and become less of a hectic day worrying about all the small things.
Then it will become a case of how do we go quicker and playing with settings and preshures ect and the enjoyment of it all can be enjoyed without the
worry and less stress.
Cheers matt
PS Any places left on the 25th chris.
