What a day.

Still trying to get to grips with the car and finding out when it will let go - which was very hard to do - my A048's stick like glue.

Tom (Indykid) also did well considering he'd only driven it for the 1st time for 5 minutes the day before.

All went well and we were one of the faster cars out there leaving the Elise's and a fair few other behind.

The car handled so well and the brakes were awesome.

Worst bit was when one of the trailing arm poly bushes let go towards the end of the day and sent the tyre into the brackets and bolts. New tyre and poly bushes now required!

Glad you had a good day out Pat - you did say you were going to hammer it... sounds like you did. Good pictures too

Could be talking complete blox, but are poly bushes really suitable for trailing arms, considering they have to twist when the car leans in a corner. ... Is there enough "give" in them?

Cheers all.

Orange light is my sticker!

Polybushes on trailing arms - now there's a can of worms.

Just though I'd try what a lot of other's find ok, but will now probably change the battered one to a rod end now and see what it's like.

Got a full CD of pics (160+) from the pro photographer - well worth the money.

Has that been covered before? maybe where I've got the idea...

My Westy live axle has metalastic bushes on the trailing arms, and I fitted polys to the panhard rod. Seems to work OK.

Discussed metalistic bushes on the way home, but result was that it would be hard to find some the right size and then a tube the right size for them to sit in to weld to the trailing arm.

Favourite is the rod end at the mo.
