Open club meet should clear a few cobwebs and see the new year in, obviouslyweather permiting but as long as its not raining i'll put some juice in the plastic pig and take her up there

If you are in your tin top, parking is behind the new mercedes world building.

Access to the museum for the others use the Campbell Gate entrance , off Brooklands Road (B374), shared with Gallaher.

See you there bob

hey guys, you got any idea of details for this? The website just says it's on, not when from and till. Obviously I'd expect it to be early, but being new years day I'm gonna have difficulty getting there particularly early!!!

bob - 27/12/07 at 07:43 PM

Well gates open at 10am, i've been the last couple of years and its really a weather dependant meet but good all the same. Cars normally pull up park up have a chit chat cuppa coffee and then back home for the afternoon, the museaum is allways worth a walk around as well.

I'm going to aim for the 10am start and probably stay till after lunch 2 ish, maybe longer if the weather is good and it fills up.

If your in the GT make sure you come in at the old entrance to be sure to get parked in the museum, the other entrance at mercedes world leads to a very poor pot holey car park

cheers again bob, I'll keep that in mind, pot holes and bumps are not my friend, particularly with the extra weight of my dad in the passenger seat

Hello James

I was suprised at the turnout, very good infact it was jam packed with hardly a spare space.

I parked up and was surounded by caterhams, maybe the parking slot i had was a special one

Plenty of interesting stuff to look at, certainly better than the last few visits i have made there.

Dan (scutter) should along soon with some pics
