The usual place? Unless you have a better suggestion of course. Perhaps when the clocks change we should organise some more runs out.

I think i'm free and i'd like to pop along, get laughed at for my slow build and maybe take away some inspiration

Th usual place is the bar of the Coach and Horses at 7:30 or so.
that is:
Coach and Horses, Weatheroak Hill,
off A435, N of M42 jcn 3.
Link to Map
The narrow road at the side of the pub marked Icknield Street is exceptionally narrow. I'd recommend avoiding it in a car.

It's also very rough and would probably ground a Locost or similar
Have a good night guys

I went that way in my locost when I first tried my satnav AND I met a car coming the other way. Not recommended.

I'm working in Dorset that day but should be back.
I've been asked to post why a certain person from Devon can't make it, if I can make it from Dorset.

Probably because its such a long walk from his house to his locost. About 200 miles. Perhaps you could pick him up en-route?

Don't take any risks.
Heavy snowfall is forecast here this evening from 4pm onwards.
See you next time if you can't make it tonight.

I suggest we call it off and meet next week instead.
Shaun said the roads near Weatheroak Hill were not passable early this morning due to snow. I'm about 5 miles from the pub here at work, and
it's been snowing off and on all day. It's just started again and is predicted to get worse.

The road at the top of weather oak hill was passable at 7:30 when I went past. I'll be there again in half an hour. I'll let you know
what it was like when I get home.

omega, that's either very brave, or more probably, very foolhardy.
Dave, thanks for posting the call-off. Gotta keep my tin-top undamaged, for later trip to London.
Maybe.

I won't be going. Weatheroak hill was a bit snowy but not too bad at quater to five. Birmingham was icy and treacherously slippy.
Stay at home.

Monday night was bad here (Lynton) too.
Coach load of old 'uns got stuck across a corner on the main hill into Lynton and had to wallk to their hotel with their luggage following
later in a train of 4x4's organised by the hotel
Both roads into/out of the village were impassable Tuesday morning so I stayed home from work. I did get out but the snow was coming down so hard I
thought I wouldn't get back into the village so I turned back after 1/2 hour.
Must get that LandRover 4x4 ASAP
