Laon is a mediaeval town 140 miles south of Paris. On one day every year they close the streets for a parade of Classic and Kit Cars. The atmosphere
is incredible and there is some very good driving to be had. As anybody who has taken a kit or classic car down to Le Mans will know, the French love
our cars and give us a really enthusiastic and warm welcome.
Continental Car Tours organise the British contingent http://www.continentalcartours.co.uk/ and the whole weekend is memorable. Nearby is the
wonderful circuit of Folembray. This is set on a hillside, run by the local council and available to hire for next to nothing. We took the Special
down there some years ago for a track day; very wet and very enjoyable. There are a few videos of the circuit at

In my humble opinion both Laon and the circuit are well worth a visit.

Actually, according to www.continentalcartours.co.uk it's 140 miles south of Calais, rather than Paris...
