Helmingham Hall classic
Festival of classics Helmingham Hall Stowmarket Suffolk
3rd August
5,000 people attended the 2007 festival. The event attracts classic and sports car owners who
exhibit their cars some of which parade up and down the main drive on the two concourse runs
throughout the day. The Festival is also a super day out for families and individuals who come
for an entertaining day out. Over 500 vehicles present last year.
I won’t be attending this year, but may I suggest those going meet up at Stonham barns and leave there at 09.00. This way
You will be parked together as a group. Let me know if you need a map to find Stonham barns.
If you didnt apply for a ticket you can still get in, for £7.
Mike has kindly agreed to take the gazebo and banner for us.
Thank you Martin.
Ps enjoy the show.

Martin,
We'll be there, weather permitting - the ticket has just arrived!
I'll be coming in from the other direction, so it'll be pointless going to Stonham. Will I be able to put myself in the same group, or
will I just get parked in the next available slot upon arrival?
If the latter is the case then it may well be worth going the extra few miles to join the gang...

Hello Dave.
The way it works is you are placed in the next available slot ,unless All in the club pay extra.for a club area. ( £10 each if I remember
correctly)
Therefore to be parked up with the others and make the most of the day it's best to meet them at Stonham barns and it's only about three
mile away from the show.

That sounds like the way to go - are you talking about the car park for the Stonham Barns 'birds of prey'/garden centre/whatever?

Same here....I got up early to set off to the meeting point and within 10mins of being up it lashed it down so I went back to bed. I waited untill
late morning and it brightened up and looked good so set off and within a few minutes it lashed it down again so I turned around and went home....Wet!
Anyone got any pics. It is a shame the weather was so hit and miss, I was looking forward to the day.
