Wanted: Stoneleigh Show Camping Info

Hi,

I am hopefully going to the show at Stoneleigh. I was thinking of going in the Motorhome, in the advert in Complete Kit Car magazine it mentions Camping.

Do any of you know if this includes Motorhomes and what they charge for this?

Thanks in advance

(p.s I am not being lazy, I can ring them tomorrow and find out this info but I prefer first hand knowledge if any of you have it).

you can bring the motor home but they will put you in the family area with all the other motor homes. you have to be hardcore and camp in a tent if you want to be camping with all the cars in the show area

Haynes Roadster (Finished)
Exocet (Finished & Sold)

Seriously though, I have never been to a "kit car show". Are there used cars for sale? If so are there plenty of them?

Hard core Stoneliegh is...

Setting up the tent, having a look around, BBQ, drinks, bar, late party, head back, get lost, realise it's frost on the cars, realise you're lost, wander around for a while, kip under a tarp' in the back of someones covered trailer, get back to camp (cold and hungover) just in time for breakfast, take down (unused) tent and leave for home.

adrian

ps. not me but it did happen last year.

pps. yes there are a few cars for sale.

Will be camping, although we have a new tent, and the rest of it will consist of BBQ's, beer (or in my case, vodka) and good friends/times

Oh, and some kitcars...

Hi,

Is there likely to be quite a large contingent there from the forum?

sounds like you need to get yourself a better homing instinct...

you need to train your insticts to always find your tent (or other suitable bed, preferably with some female company ) no matter how drunk you get

Nothing wrong with my sense of direction. I was tucked up in my sleeping bag, nice and cosy... and pissed.
