I was talking to a chap at York Raceway today about the possibility of holding it there.
I'd asked in my email for bbq/beer tent/kids amusements and possibly use of track.
Apparently it's £5000 to hire which would mean a good couple of hundred needed to justify expense.
He also suggested we tag onto one of their pre-organised days, where we could have our own parking area, trophy and competition; organise our own
bbq/beer and kids entertainment (they don't do beer as too many take cheapo imports, nor entertainment for kids as it used to get smashed!).
This way we could get in for the usual gate prices of £10, £5 camp and £25 track. Obviously better halves, kids won't drive on track so
they'll only cost £15ish.
I've never been to York Raceway so comments from those who have, would be good.
I think we have a couple of months debating this, then action may need to be taken, so keep up with suggestions.
