Definately confused now.
If it's a replica, then how can it be 'correctly registered as a Porsche'?
If the chassis has beeen modified and a VW engine fitted, previous question still applies.
If it IS correctly registered as a Porsche, then how can it be a replica?
I shall ask the seller to clarify and wait with baited breath for an explanation . . .

To be fair he does say its been built on a porsche chassis no different to many other kits that retain the donor chassis, without investigating further to prove otherwise it could well be perfectly legal and legit, recent thread re a smokey westfield springs to mind. People are to quick to judge with little or few actual facts, all IMHO of course.

As for the car, not my cup of tea thanks.

I'm really confused he seems to be claiming its a real 356 that someone has butched to make this car, a replica of a car that I didn't think ever existed. Also, shouldn't a car with a modified chassis require a full IVA? Even if it was done in another country.

And why take a photo of the luggage compartment and not show us the engine?

And the reply was;

"This replica uses a modified Porsche 356 chassis and so has been approved by DVLA to be listed as a 'Porsche' on the V5C when the car was importedinto Britain. Obviously this a big bonus."

Still can't get my head around the fact that someone used a porsche as a donor for what is in reality a VW Beetle kit car.
