Hi there!

Haven't joined in really since I moved to Singapore and then Houston!

Back in the UK these days, finally have a garage (currently with my 950 miles Clio V6 in it) so do need to get a project going!

Will spend some more time perusing these forums from now on

Well, yes sir

There are two projects I'd really love:-

1. A Group C car (which I originally posted on here about, many years ago) like GTRCLIVE's 962 on Pistonheads.

2. A mid-engine coupe with either a revvy Honda red top (B or K) or a bike engine.

I want 9,000+ rpm before those engines are extinct!

Liking the look of this: http://speed3automotive.co.uk/

But think I would prefer an RS200 or 6R4 body shell!

I am also harboring strange thoughts of a bike-engined original Panda (my first car) having just got back from Rome.

There is a mk3 MR2 based panel swap RS200 on the market form Tribute (no IVA).

This may be more to your liking in terms of a mini Group C car, no idea if they are still building but got good reviews a while back, may be worth a call, K20 engine mated to an Audi A4/Boxster transaxle would be interesting - http://www.retoga.com/

Why not go the whole hog and go for a Startos replica with an Alfa v6 ?

I do need to drive it more but it doesn't go out in Winter.

To be fair, I bought it last year with 650 miles on the clock so I've added a large percentage more

It has also been valued at £40k on an agreed valuation policy, so I do have 'second thoughts' about getting it out, sometimes.

It's tempting to 'take the profit', buy a 'used' car with it and bank the rest for a proper project.

I'm aware of the MR2/ RS200 and that's a possibility with a Lexus V6 engine swap, maybe.

Not sure I like the proportions of the Retoga but I'll make something happen, one of these days.

Have to be a bit 'careful' with money as I am in the O&G business and hanging onto my job by a thread!

... You can check it out if you like. ... It is, pretty much, what you'd expect.
... Now, I'm looking for more build ideas for a new project and that means there is only one place to look, ... right here!
