My first Poll!!! for NE Scotland meet

I'm sitting here gazing out the window at the great weather outside (really meant to be doing some charts but that's too boring plus my college has apparently given me the wrong data!)

I put a post in for a new meeting and the response was pitiful...come on guys it's nearly summer cheer up lets get something organized, preferably doing something with the cars rather than sitting up a pub, we could all go to some shows for example or go to a race event...I'm fed up spending/wasting all my time at work.

I've done a poll thing as I haven't done one before and wanted to see how it worked, ehem. Only 1hr till lunchtime!!

There used to be meetings with cars in the south/ middle of Scotland at falkirk but certain folk just wanted to sit in the pub so i stopped going. Sorry but cars are my hobby, not beer! Some real characters there, like Zilspeed (with his locost sans seats!) and superb cars like seabass's fabulous orange locost.

I think we should, either:
- meet up at Alford (rent the track and have a bbq and general lark about)
- go for a mass drive out. I think there is probably just about enough spaces for all passengers in running cars?! We could do a tour about and possibly go visit so peoples builds at home and tinker.
I'm pretty open though as most of you will prob know by now, so whatever happens I'll more than likely be there. Oli.

PS.
Whats with the new username? - what was wrong with the old one?

I wasn't wanting to announce anything till I had any concrete to tell, but I don't want you thinking everything was forgotten about.

another idea rolled out was to see if we can get enough bodies together to have a day @ Skirmish (paintball) just outside Banchory, (a nice excuse for folk to shoot me legally)

I'm just bored!!! buggy round a race track yeah!!

The paint ball idea is good I have done that many times, yes its sore but so what its a lot of fun.

we could do both...

How about another idea in the pot! We could try to organise a rolling road shoot out day or something similar. Not sure where we could do it or how much such a thing would cost but you might be able to persuade one of the mags to run an article and pics etc or a few different interesting builds. Oli.

i'll second Scott- its a great day out at Crail- i've had my old diesel 406 on the strip when my indy clutch broke there last year- 1/4 mile in 22 seconds with a load of tools in the boot. Might be a wee bit more of a trek for you lads though

Well Techically, Crail is considered to be in the North East of Scotland
