Lap Times at Teesside
Now I know that timing is not allowed on trackdays but I was datalogging and am interested to see others times and configurations..
Mine were
2.0 Zetec, live axle and plastic tyres
55.8 secs best time. Generally in 56 second bracket. I reckon decent tyres would gain my another second.
This was a fair bit quicker than the Pinto lads and a fair bit slower than the Hayabusa lads but not sure about everything else.
What were your times??

So it looks like the usual BECs are doing it in around 53 -54 seconds.
Sound about right??

Looking at the video footage I was getting 52's with two in. Our Phil however was getting 51's on his own...
I've not completed looking at it but I reckon there is another second or two to slice off it...

When I was downloading my video I looked at the timecode for about 10 consecutive laps. My best were in the low 53's, rest were high 53's
- mid 54's. Watching the video and comparing with some others I could definately have been faster round the complex. I think it was a case of
nads not being big enough to brake late enough into right-hander. I was trying to stay on the brakes to get a better and faster turn in on the first
corner to carry the speed round the rest of the complex, but could never quite get it right. Still, something to practice next time

the complex is very... complex. Dont be decieved when watching videos of yourself, the video doesnt reflect the full camber of the last corner onto
the straight and you might convince yourself you are driving the wrong line. I think the complex makes or breaks the lap really.
That said, alan carried ridiculously more speed than me through the final corner onto the straight, couldnt believe it stuck that well.

That was where I was loosing all my time.
Probably due to the live axle/cheap tyre combination I was vert slow onto the hill and then wheel spinning the first 30 yards of the straight.
Better tyres being sourced for next time...
