Le Mans 2007 meetup
For those that are going to Le Mans this year, have you got any plans to meet up on the friday.
I was thinking of going to St Saturin for the great british welcome. They have a display of classic cars along with the odd racing driver(Johnny
Herbert, Stirling Moss, Derick Bell).
They also have a bar

St Saturnin is the correct spelling. Its about 5 miles north of Le Mans on the N138. The link to the website is here
St Saturnin web
Looks like it may be worth a trip out for a few beers.

That's where we'll be on the friday - it was absolutely brilliant last year!
Cheers
Chris
Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Stupid question for you!
Sorry to hijack the thread but I really fancy going this year but figure it's a bit late to organise camping, tickets etc...
Am i right or is there still an opportunity?

The camping tickets sold out months ago but you may be able to get one on the club arnage website where they make it a policy to sell them on at face
value.
The entry tickets for the circuit can be bought on the day at the main entrance. The other option is e-bay but you will pay over the odds for them.

I should have a spare camping ticket for Beausejour some time next week when they are delivered by the ACO - got 3 yesterday (woohooo ) and have been
promised delivery of the another 2 of which 1 will be spare due to someone dropping out.
Might have to consider the classic british welcome this year - we usually spend Friday morning doing the pit walk and then mid afternoon head into
town for the drivers parade (actually to look out for the Hawaiian Tropic girls, better looking than the drivers )

We don't bother with the drivers parade anymore, once you've seen one head sticking out of a race suit you've seen them all!
Great British Welcome is ace, you can buy me a pint too Andy!
cheers

Main reason we do the drivers parade is because of a restaurant we have found in town - not telling you which though as it gets too busy anyway!
Would buy you a pint Chris if we go to St Saturnin but they only sell litres in France so I guess it's not possible

We will be at St Sat for about 11:30. Chance to meet up and have a few beers
We may head into town later on after dropping the cars off or just sit outside the Circuit bar next to expo campsite and watch the performance in the
road before the gendarmes move in and spoil it.
