Aintree Sprint this weekend

Hi All

Aintree Sprint is on Saturday if anybody in the Merseyside area wants to get wet!

I'm going but don't expect to be anywhere near the pace (about 20% off pace at a guess) as this will be only my second ever time to drive the car and the first in the wet! My wets are also very old and not at all sticky!

Car 85 (dark blue single seater) if you want to come and have a chat.

It's a hell of a trek from South West Wales but I missed all of last season so I'm doing as much as I can this year, work permitting.

Details on the Liverpool MC Site here

Regards

Wyn

It looked like this - http://www.kewego.co.uk/video/iLyROoaftKbj.html Please excuse the blurred image but that's the water on the lens!

This was my last run - I'd been doing 60 seconds + all day and did a 55.?? on this run, despite trying to put it into the bushes off the start line (I had a similar moment on the previous run but when changing up from 5th to 6th!!). Finished 6th in class out of 11 I think. I'm happy with that but need to go quicker!

I'm still not pushing the car hard at all although it was good to drive it in the wet (my wets are really old and hard!).

I had a small oil leak which looked big as the tinty drip was falling onto my crank trigger wheel and getting thrown around at just short of 12000 rpm. I also noticed today that my throttle bodies are making a bid for freedom.

Aintree is a great venue and really well run - it's not a nice place to stay overnight though! £10 to stay there but with no facilities (not even toilets!) and the miserable sods in the golf club closed the bar early as well!

Iceman - nice to meet you and AJ! It's always good to meet fellow Locostbuilders and put a face to a name! Hope you dried out quickly!

Three Sisters soon maybe....

Wyn
