Sprint event at Kames in Ayrshire
If you're looking for something to do this weekend there's a two-day sprint event on at Kames near Muirkirk in Ayrshire. The track and the
facility in general has been totally revamped and there's a cracking new (and cheap) menu at the cafe. The whole place is MUCH better than it
used to be and it seems the expected turn-out for the two days is quite large as a result of all the changes.
If nothing else the run to the track is great fun in itself, along some excellent A and B roads (Muirkirk is on the A70) that are usually lightly
trafficked. Takes about 35-40 minutes to reach it from Glasgow.

Whats more they have just had the track surface "deep cleaned" and it is super sticky. Expect the action to be fast and furious.
There is a full field of single seaters, modified cars and - wait for it - A locoster!!!
Come and cheer him on. You can get a full range of hot meals for only £3 in the cafe as well as the traditional butties!1

I'm hoping to be there on at least one of the days - will definitely come and say hello if I'm there (armed with camera and dictaphone -
expect to say a few words for the magazine if I catch up with you...!)
