Hi we are near Carlisle,
for starters there is the west cumbria kit car club, Wigton Motor Club - massive and organise trackdays rallies and classic runs etc and the usual
marrque related Jag and RS owners + the cruisers etc
There is also a hill climb outfit that run some exciting events.
The Scottish Kit car club hold meetings up near Kilmarnock but it is some distance awy

Join Wigton, then you can enter their championship and come up here and do hillclimbs at Forrestburn 
Their membership is from all over the place too.
