Well, they have deemed it a "busy and friendly event" so have confirmed that the Stafford show will be taking place again next year.

I thought it was very friendly. It was busy enough on the Saturday morning without being too crowded. It needed a few more parts stands and some
catering vans but otherwise it was OK.

Unfortunately its been a trend this year with parts suppliers no longer attending shows .
Pity as half the reason for going was to acquire bits and pieces

Seems they only want to attend Stoneleigh now doesn't it (re parts suppliers). I was amazed how few there were at the show too - as well as a
complete lack of burger vans etc.

From speaking to a few of the traders they didn't get a lot of information/feedback from the organisers after the initial approch to see if they
were interested. Then were asked again if they were coming fairly late. I'd imagine it'll be better next year. It was better than
Donington last year.
When half of the show is club pitches and owners displaying thier cars I think its a bit much to ask £15 for camping overnight.
At some of the other shows this year it's been a bit of a wash-out weather wise. Newark for example saw traders stands demolished (literally) on
Sat night and some packed up and went home.

£15 to camp? Seriously!! Isn't Stoneleigh half that or less (even if you dont take a kit car)?? Seems pretty bad to charge people a large amount
like that when they are providing half the show for the organisers. I can understand covering expenses but that sounds extortionate!!

...and apparently they didn't come around to collect it untill people had had a few beers and couldn't drive away.
Newark was free (well I didn't pay) and Peterborough was £6, which is ok given the toilets, etc. I paid £5 on a proper camp site 2 weeks ago!

Well, if the part suppliers won't come next year....what about us guys bringing our spares to the show. Put them on a table for punters to look
/ touch/ buy.
All we need is a few tables, some people to look after the tables and take the money. Each part labled with price etc. If a part sells, the the table
takes a commission which goes for the table hire. If any money left over at the end, it goes to some charity that is agreed before the show.....

I wasn't that impressed with the show generally.
At least one of the traders was adding their ebay postage price to the item sale prices which was a bit cheeky as they were over the going rate to
start with.
Judging from the kid walking around with the boxed replica BB gun, there was also some rather dodgy activities going on, as sale of BB gun replica
fire arms is now seriously regulated.
On the whole the trade area was good if you were a prospective kit buyer. The best out of the lot were Robin Hood and the Toylander lot for
friendlyness.
Was not impressed that they started clearing up at around 3 to 3:30 and was near dead by 4pm. The details of the show said shutting at 4:30 so I
turned up later in the afternoon expecting to get a couple of hours wandering around time.
To be honest, Donnington was far superior to this event.
