Santa Pod RWYB today with Video

Had a great day out at Santa Pod today with madteg, Kev99, paulf from here and Steve Dave from the peterborough group.

Probably not such a great day for Kev (madteg) though and spoilt it a bit for me, was looking forward to cec turbo verses bec turbo battle we both lined up for our first run unfortunatly for Kev he never made it of the start line so that's bect 1 and cect 0

Just uploaded a video on youtube of my first and last run (you can just see kev left at the start line )

For some reason beyond me the quality's rubbish after I edited it and uploaded it Sorry!

That was a good day you got quicker with every run

Shame about the bolts falling out of the wastegate and taking the paint off side panel

looked a bit deserted bet you got plenty of runs in it looks like your losing a couple of tenths on your launch but i imagine a turbo bec is worse than a normal bec to get off the line

That's great Dave. What times did everyone else run.
Typically, the first really decent weather all year and my car was off the road, otherwise I'd have come along and dropped some oil on the track.

After what happened to madteg it kind of put me off launching to hard but was great fun!

With more practice and better tyres I think a high 11sec is possible but I need a trailer first don't fancy pushing it home or calling the AA

Was good to meet up with everyone and good fun on the track.
My best was a 13.84 ,100.1 mph which I was happy with considering I havent mapped the new engine apart from tweaking the fuel map from the 1.8.The biggest problem I had was getting any traction , the car was all over the track until I got into 3rd gear and i think I lost a fair bit of time.

Only me and Paul ran after Kev's demise the rest of them bottled it

Not sure on Paul's time something like a 13.9 but it is a cec so not bad

Close 13.84 with next to no traction!

Probably best if you take one of your joints with you and see if they fit the shafts!

Fairly sure the joints are bigger don't know about the shafts
