Some progress made on the Lightning
Badger_McLetcher - 29/6/10 at 11:24 PM

Thought I'd post up the progress I've made on the chassis so far.
Currently considering removing the front side and top diagonals and replacing them with 16g shear panels, as the shallow angle of them will make them a bitch to weld. Something of an oversight in the design phase, which I was warned of but misunderstood until now lol.
Nothing particularly awe inspiring I'm afraid!

When I saw the heading, I thought someone was having a go at building an English Electric Lightning for less than £250. Then I viewed the post and realised it was all about Lightening.

Either way AWESOME.

Hehe don't tempt me! Love the English Electric Lightning.
TS Lightning is the name of the corvette replica kit car from which I am using the bodyshell. Only 10 of them were ever made, this is one of (if not the) last one, where the bodyshell is accurate to within a few cm of the original.
Not that it matters to me, I only bought it cause it was cheap and looked nice!
