Robin Hood 2b?

mcerd1 - 16/7/15 at 10:19 AM

^^^ yeah it looks like a 2B with sliding b pillars

See here:
http://nw.rhocar.org/identification.htm

Its a poor suspension design that had issues, alot of cars were converted to double wishbone setups...

Yes its definately a Robin Hood 2b with sliding pillars.

The sliding pillars can be made to function well, if built correctly. They will never be as good as wishbones but can perform decently. See the RHOCAR forum for details on sliding pillar set ups. There is a few on there that are currently building some up.

Thanks for the ID help folks, but would anyone care to have a stab at its current value in this state of build

ReMan - 16/7/15 at 01:12 PM

Stabbing in an unpleasantbut realistic manner £200-400

SCAR - 16/7/15 at 01:41 PM

I'd say about £500 but £350 of that would be for the injected pinto engine and box.

It all be worth a lot more if dismantled and sold as parts. Have you checked if it has an LSD?

ian locostzx9rc2 - 16/7/15 at 02:53 PM

I know someone who would be interested in the engine and gearbox if you wanted to strip it ?

Go to RHOCaR forum
IMHO it's a bit of a wreck and doesn't even look like its a Stainless steel version

unfortunatley those generations of robins arent worth much anyway and next to nothing in this built-stage / condition.

so i would also recommend selling it in parts.
