Plans

The excitement is building chaps. Got a (not so) shiny Sapphire sitting on my drive ready for the wreckin'. The stripping and full overhaul starts on Monday. Anyway, it's a 1.8 CVH, and as i want to use the driveshafts i know i will need the +4 McSoreley plans at least... but will i be okay height wise? And if i do have to use the +442 plans what are the knock-on effects down the line? Any special hassle with bodywork etc. to be ready for? Thanks in advance Russ.

You don't need to use the +4" plans when using driveshafts straight from the sierra.....if irs you will need longer 'bones, if de-dion then that's sorted with a GTS one........then all yer need is wider rear arches to cover things up......also would look better if you went for wider track up front as per MK, Mac#1 etc......skinny cars with wider track look better than the fatboy jobbies unless of course you need the wider cockpit.
Make chassis to Unc Ron's book then most firms grp will fit....of course the rear is sierra so that bit is a tad different to the book but not rocket science to sort out

The guy in your avatar sure looks familiar... if he were wearing a green military uniform from WWII I'd swear that was.... well never mind.

Book chassis with wider wishbones and arches it is then. Cheers.
