You could change your spring height to raise the car, but would have to look closely at the suspension geometry to ensure it would still work ok. I suspect that 2" isnt enough for comfortable road use.
HELP please i just got a car part built but after pushing it round the back it got stuck on the gate lock i think i have got about 2" /3"
road clearance the only thing i can think of is needs bigger wheels the bloke i got it off said he had put the same size wheels on as the escort
because of the sva . Allso he said i should take the screen off for the SVA so i do not have to fit a demister ? but would i be able to put it back on

What part of the car grounded? Usualy it's the sump that hits first, if you have a tall engine like the Pino you may need to chop the sump down.
he is essentially correct regarding the windscreen, you would also need wipers. By removing it, you avoid both wipers and the demister.

I've got ground clearance at about 3.5", its ok if you take speed bumps slowly.
once the cars SVA'd you can pretty much do what you want with it as long as it will pass MOT

thanks i will take a look and prob ask for more help( i have only got 1300x ford engine ) but only got it deliver at night so i have not seen it in the day

I've got about 3 inches ground clearance (from the sump). I wound up my springs at the front to raise it as it was originally 1.5!
Nothing wrong with 1300 xflow.That's what I've got. You'll get good mpg, low insurance and it should do 0-60 in about 6 seconds and
make 100 mph. Believe me that's fast enough when your arse is only four or five inches off the tarmac!

About 3 inches here too. Fitted a nylon skid plate to help with the occasional scrape.
I've got about 4.5" (bragging or complaining? 
) - my x-flow sump has been shortened, and I've set the chassis ride height to about
6" (I used the Westie-recommended settings, due to the remarkable similarity in the chassis design...)
Handles nicely, and goes over all but the worst speed bumps.
