Magnetic clamps
andyps - 6/7/03 at 12:11 AM

Someone on the forum said about getting four magnetic clamps at a really good price (only expecting one at the price paid). These were adjustable clamps which could be locked to any angle. I have tried searching for the post which gave a reference to the seller but I can't find it.

Also, where do you get the 1mm stainless angle grinder disks I have heard about for cutting the chassis tubing?

Please can someone enlighten me.

Hi,
It was me who got the adjustable clamps you are talking about. The company was WDS Ltd. http://www.wds.ltd.uk
and the part number was "WDS 5724-E952 Magnetic Variable Clamps"

I got some thin cutting discs from screwfix recently and they were just over a pound each I think. They are very good and cut fast. I bought the jig which turns your angle grinder into a chop saw as well and it seems a bargain at the price.

HTH,
Craig.

Thanks for the replies:

Jon - there is no hurry, I haven't created the required space in my garage to start yet, hope to see you at the August Yorks meeting though.

Craig - thanks, I will check the site.

Great help from the forum again. Cheers
