Correct measurement for 1300 crossflow ?

Can anyone tell me what the correct measurement between F1 and G1 is
(along tube C) for a Ford 1300GT xflow.

I know the book states 5 inches in the text but in the plans it shows 7 inches (which I stupidly followed)
