Having had an x mini , for the garage which recently got destroyed by the misses i've seen the Xmini 2 on play.com for £13ish but also there is the Veho VSS-001-360 / 360 Portable Rechargable Speaker For iPod/MP3 Players , which is only a £5 anyone had one of these? The x mini was great and good sound for the garage, shall i be tight and risk it on the veho?

Can't speak for the Veho, but the Xmini 2 is worth every penny to anybody that'll listen lol.
Not sure if it's any louder than the Xmini but it has ajustable volume on the speaker itself and a longer battery life than the original.

I use my xmini 2 for listening to my phone and the laptop, suprising sound for something so small.
I've not used anything else to compare it with though, so no use to you at all
