Looking to tack cp10 plates x 2 into place, and have noticed that the 2 x holes in them are at different dimensions from the ends of said plates.
Anyone got any clue which way up to put them, cos I can't find any.

Yes, CP10, according to the book's specs, are too long. It is not a big problem.
But one thing is important : you have 2 different measurements between the holes and edges. At one end it is 25mm, at the other end, it is 31mm. The important thing is to put 25mm one at the bottom, and 31mm one at the top.
Place the lower edge of CP10 (25mm end) on the chassis first, and mark and grind the extra length on the top part of CP10 to fit them.

AFAIK this is the correct orientation of the CP10 plates

As Ronnie says, it is not very important which way around you fit them, you just need to make sure you put both plates the same way around, and that they fit flush with the rear face SB4, so they don't interfere with the fitting of the diff brackets.

You already certainly figured out that CP10 are too long to fit, and you will need to trim them to fit. So rather grinding them on the 31mm end, and at the end, you'll see that you will not be far from having 25mm between the edge and the centre of the hole at both ends.
