I'll try to explan,
according to the good book SVA, you need a referance block 136mm*53mm placed flat on the seat against the backrest(where you arse goes). the minimum height above this is 450mm for the upper mount.

Hope that helps Dan.

nope that refers to the block,so if you come out from the seat back 136mm then go up 53mm add 450 to that point and that is the lowest point the mounts can be,wonder who dreamt up those dims?

Will 4 points pass the sva then? Please say they will someone, as I thourght they had to be inertia ones and hence make a mess of the roll bar where they mount.

Four points are allowed, aslong as there E marked and have a release mechanism similar to a normal car seat belt( no race harnesses).

As long as they are "E Marked", race harnesses are OK

My Car has just passed with the top mounts on the chassis as in the book, I used high bach seats with headrests, run the belts through the headrestsupports and this passed.

The belts i used are TRS and have lap belt adjusters that you pull up, designed for west****d.

Take a look at my car www.locost7-online.com

Thew seats came from Stuart Taylor motorsport where i think he got them from is Richfield seating. They are not cheap, but i wanted to be comfy in the car....and 500miles on its lovely.
