Chassis Weight

Anyone who's built their chassis know about how much it weighs? The picture on page 53 (showing Ron Champion holding a suspiciously polished looking chassis) says that it'll weigh about 35lb.
Well, on the invoice for the steel I've bought, 6x7m lengths of 16gauge 1" box section weighs 40Kg.
Is this another 'Championism' like the cutting list or have I just started to make my chassis out of lead?
Obviously I could calculate this by knowing the density of mild steel etc. but it's home time!

Cheers,

James

James,

The standard full chassis with 25mm and 19mm RHS with 1.5 mm wall thickness without any panels etc comes in at 46kg.
