Bush tube ( outer)

I'm using the haynes type bushes on my avon, I've got the 33.7mm tube but does it need the bore to be machined? I'm sure I've seen it mentioned

It's not mentioned in the haynes manual but I have seen Talon Motorsport do this. I'm not aware anyone else doing this.

I find the bushes ridiculously tight if the bush tube isn't relieved a little bit, I bought Talon bushes for this reason

I always use 1 3/8" x 10g CDS tube on all the Locost wishbones I've made. New money it measures roughly 35mm od and 28.5mm id. The bushes available online from various companies push straight in lovely with no machining.
