We've not had a bump steer post for a bit....

This little gem has just cost me 70 notes....
I noticed that the nearside rack end was slopping up & down... Turned out that the plastic bush the rack slides on had totally disintegrated.
This appears to be because I shortened the rack inner by 3.5ins but only shortened the rack body by 3ins.
This is a genuine vintage mk2 escort rack.
It's annoying because I was going to have to fit lock limiting spacers anyway - I have ridculous steering angles on full lock!
I had shortened the body by less than the rack to limit the lock (but by nowhere near enough).
The new racks from rallydesign have completely different balljoints & shouldn't have the same problem.
