3rd July South Brum Meet

Well it's nearly July and the longest day has come and gone But it's time for our next meeting;

Monday 3rd July i.e. next Monday

I've planned another drive-PUB-drive type of event this time starting off in Meriden, HERE

There's a small 'village green' affair in the middle of Meriden, there's also a few shops along one edge and some parking. So we'll meet there.

Be there for 19:00 - 19:15

We'll leave by 19:30. We shall head to Fillongley then Over Whitacre and finally NNE along the B4116 towards Measham. Some where near here we'll make a slow about turn and head to the pub, here;

The Rising Sun,
Shackerstone,
CV13 6NR.

Tel; 01827 880215

Located HERE

Then head home via Congerstone/Bilstone, Sheepy Magna, Over Whitacre, Fillongley and back to Meriden.

All are welcome and if you want a passenger ride then please U2U me and we'll see if anyone can help you out.

See you there??

Not sure I could get to the start, but could try and meet up at Shackerstone?

Depending on weather...oh and any problems I find at the weekend!

What time do you all aim to be at the Rising Sun?

Howdy Mate,

we'll leave Meriden about 19:30 so should be at the pub by 20:15-20:30.

We'll have a pint and a chat till about 21:30'ish - depends how good the beer and chat is

It would be great to meet you.

justin i am now able to come to the meet, all be it i will be in the tin top, i can get to meriden in the tinny quite easily, but i would need to ride shot gun with a kit car owner from there on, i dont want to cramp the convoys style, with a vauxhall corsa as tale end charlie! i have sent DJ Si a u2u, to see if he will be able to come as he has just bought himself an MK indy bird. but i dont know whether or not its on the road yet?

anyways, if anyone has a passenger seat i could ride shotgun in i would most appreciate it!

Chaz,

Piccies will come shortly.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening.

What a brilliant bit of road. Right from Meriden to Measham. Only slight fly in the ointment was Atherstone were the road takes a bit of a detour via the A5 before getting back to the twisties

Still one to remember and do again sometime.
