hello, my mk indy with ford drums is not good.
this problem developed the other evening when ever i go around a left hand corner with a bit of speed the rear right drum/drive shaft area schreaches.
it is only ever when i load the rear right on left hand corners, at low speed it is ok. what can it be???
Something is catching or you have a stone or something stuck in there somewhere - you need to to take the wheel and possibly the drum off to have a look for evidence of rubbing or a foreign body.
I'd check the wheel bearing tightness too, especially if its only going round corners.
Also possibly one of the brake shoe retaining springs has snapped and the shoes side is rubbing on the drum.
i'll have a look, im not sure what drums they are, it says ford on them? and how about parts? i'll have a look for a part number ect.
Quite possible that brake shoe retaining spring has come adrift , only last week i stripped mine as the drum was getting excessivly hot so stripped
it and cleaned out the crud/dust etc and all's well now, i found the inspection bung was missing on that drum so a grommet was found that just
fitted.

check for stones too especially if there are road works near you
all sorted, the bracket holding the altenerator on snapped and the blades were hitting the chassie when the engine moved on left hand corners, also the engine mounts are soft so the engine moves abit.
