Part 1: The Steering Wheel

The MGTF column uses a ribbon cable for the wheel electrics, so no dangling cables

Part 2: The De-Cat
The exhaust was getting a little noisy, I found this:

The Truflex section had split after only 150 miles So I decided to rebuild the system without the Cat.
I had a straight through bike silencer lying around, so I modified the outlet and repacked with Acoustifil.

Fitted the exhaust using a larger Truflex section, this one has lasted 1500 miles, and still ok.

Nicer to drive now, no more ear bleeds and should be ok for track day noise levels.
Dynoed at 135bhp with this set up, happy with that.

Flexi-bellows piping - wasn't this a critical failure point in the Flixborough chemical plant "eruption"? Seem to recall that the subsequent inquiry raised criticism for using this type of connecting pipework, when it has to carry pressure pulses.
