I am putting Lucy back together after getting the parts from MK and, after getting the engine back in, I'm looking at mounting the headlight bar.
One of the things I didn't like about the original build is after mounting the headlight bar on top of the chassis rail I had to cut a square
out of the nosecone, this then made taking the nosecone off much trickier.
I just wondered has anyone mounted their MK headlight bar under the chassis rail to so no modification to the nosecone is required?? It would require
new holes drilled int he headlight bar, but I think this is a lot handier than chopping at the nose.
Any thoughts?
Can't see why not as long as it is far enough away from the top wishbone so it won't hit when it goes up.
thats how i have mounted mine this time around from underneath and in between shocker bracket. i used the lighting bar as supplied by mk i just had to do a cut out at either side of the bar to allow for top of suspension to fit, but looks a lot neater and no need to modify nose cone
I suspect what I'll do is cut the bar and weld a bracket on each side so I can bolt it onto the side of the chassis rail.
Mine's mounted underneath, although it's not the MK part - never occurred to me do do it any other way
