Flux insurance renewal = questions
Moorron - 23/2/07 at 08:14 PM

Just got my renewal letter from adrain flux for the indy. Its all set up to carry on blah blah (i have to contact them if i DONT want to use them again ).

But my renewal is exactly the same as last years premium of £238 fully comp.

Question! is it worth me telling them its not on and i want it cheaper or am i pushing my luck?

With kitcar insurance, your under classic car, so you dont build up any no claims discount.
My renewal was cheaper but not by much, still only £104 fully comp.

You can normally lean on them a bit and save 30 or 40 quid

age and limited milage??

im 28 with 3000 miles limited, but insured to drive to work as i like to annoy the neighbours at 7 am

mines agreed at £7500.

thoght it would have reduced alittle tho, but then again insurance has gone up to cater for all the claims to none insured driver!!! argh.

might just leave it, its easier to just renew than set up another insurance deal.

??

Just paid £144 with Footman James for my 2.0 Indy, 32, clean lisence, garaged, 3k miles, £4.5k value and 3rd party fire and theft.

Flux quoted £132, but the Footman policy included UK and European beakdown cover which Flux wanted another £42 for.

I agree with Mitch. It's certainly worth ringing round a few insurance companies for quotes even if you intend to stay with your current insurer. Tell Flux you can get it cheaper elsewhere and they'll more than likely match it if not beat it.

That is why i went with FJ. However they said to me that they do not do agreed value on kit cars.
