mirrors behind or infront of aeroscreen

Afternoon all

Can't make up my mind whether to fit my wing mirrors to the scuttle either in front or behind of my Mac1 aeroscreen.

If anyone has used this screen on an Indy with bike mirrors could you post links to photos so I can make my mind up.

Also would putting them in front be a problem for SVA as don't you have to be able to reach the drivers one whilst sitting in the drivers seat?

Any assistance appreciated so I can cross another job off the list.

Thanks all
Nigel

I fitted mine behind my Mac 1 screen - no pics though I'm afraid.

If you mean the upright type of screen, here's what I did with my mirrors Rescued attachment 2005-10-23 8 Locost engine right.jpg

If you mean a "real" aeroscreen, I bolted the mirrors through the side.

I would go with not having any screen for teh SVA. Sure, it might be a bit of a fiddle to fix on afterwards, but I think you will have more hassle covering up the edges if you have the screen (of whatever type) on beforehand Rescued attachment 2008-03-15 New mirror.JPG

yeah I think using them to hold on the aeroscreen would be a good idea. Remembering that the further away from you the less you can see in them which might make it an SVA issue. On the Falcon there on the wing over 2m away from my head and need curved glass to be usable
