That brings back memories.

This is better known as the Dukeries Rally, competed in this a few times as a navigator in a MK2 Escort 1600 back in the 80's, last time in 1988, as part of the EMAMC Championsip. I think our best result was third in class, still have the trophy somewhere.

Liked this event as it was our local, particularly liked Clipstone North and South, as the Sherwood pines stages were known as, these were pretty quick in those days before they put chicanes on the longer straights. I think we used to top out at about 110mph, not bad for an old car.

The car is currently rotting away in a back yard next door to my mum's.
