polishing alloy floor

best way to do it anyone Ive polished alloy before using 1200 grit and metal polish.

that worked ok then but doesnt seem to work on my floor?

Seems pointless to me, but try this, get reasonble surface with 1200 wet and dry, and then use Brasso with a squirt of WD40 for lubrication and plent of elbow grease.. you will never get a mirror finish unless the ally was processed that way when rolled.
