type 9 gearbox mount

I need to clear this up. As I'm about to fit gearbox and engine..

How many have used the serria dooner rubber gearbox mount on their indy?

Is it o.k. or two soft?

Should I use a westfield one?

But is the westfield mount a direct replacement for the sierra item?

Cheers

Dan

The Westie one is not a direct replacement.

It makes the gearbox sit about 1" higher. I've adjusted my chassis to compensate.

I can understand you not wanting to modify your Indy chassis but the Westie mount is much much stiffer than the Sierra. So if you can come up with a solution that allows you to use it without chopping your chassis around then I would.
