Q for Cairb ???

Colin,

I was looking through an old thread on master cylinder pushrods, where you mentioned you had used the Merlin Motorpsort adjustable pushrod and clevis assembly.

I have just ordered one of these and was wondering how much you had to modify it to fit the Indy?

Any pics of your pedal set-up would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Nick

Nick,

I ground a cone on the end of the push rod that fits into the piston to be similar to the one that was on the end of the servo rod that it replaced, after cutting it to a length that would give suitable adjustment.

Pedal Assembly

We haven't used a return spring - yet! Waiting to get it out on the road to check feel etc and whether it will return properly.

We have used a clevis from MK which we feel is slightly tidier and less inclined to get stuck in your socks when you have your clogs on...

Joelp,

No, I haven't used any additional return springs, only those built into the master cylinder. I've not noticed any problems on the road.

Cheers,

Colin

Hellfire, just looking at the piccy, is it an optical illlusion, or are some of the welds in the R/H corner (by the throttle pedal) not 100%?
It looks like the diagonal hasnt been welded underneath (not a big strength issue), but it doesnt *look* to be fully welded where the three lengths of 25mm box meet either....

Or am I just seeing things mate?

Dont just build it.....make it!
