After finally geting registration plates made just before shop closing time today, I've been out for a quick blat. The roads are quite wet and
I'm still fairly new to the car so I'm taking it a bit easy.
From a gentle rolling start in 1st then opening the throttle fully, the engine bogs down at about 2000 RPM for a second or two before taking off like
the proverbial scalded cat. What's the likely cause of this and how do I fix it (without performing screaming starts
)?
most likely jetting / mixture adjustment, have you rolling roaded it yet ????

You will need a dynotjet kit as well....
assuming you arent using the stock exhaust and EXUP valve
No, using a nice MNR equal length 4-into-1 with straight through silencer. (silencer is a bit euphamistic)

If you get a copy of a decent car performance mag, you will find lots of good places for rolling roads.. try fast ford...
Problem is though, that most rolling roads cater for cars and don't have much knowledge of bike engines, so they're good for doing power
runs but not much else.
There are however a few places that have both. I have no knowledge whatsoever of TTS but would highly recomend Jack at Holeshot Racing in Bradford.
He's probably forgotten more than I'll ever know about bike engines and is a top bloke.
