i found a deal on a 2005 cbr1000rr engine complete kit.. with like 1000km on it..is it a great engine? don't know if i want a locost or a mid-engine or "simply" converting a leight car.. doest it need drysump or somethig? looking for some info and feed back

Its certainly up there with the best litre engines for power, but (like most of the very recent engines) there's very little information on it for when installing it in a BEC because not many people like being pioneers and blowing engines up for fun until they find ways around the issues, so you're unlikely to get any definitive answers on the need for a dry sump on here Im afraid.
It might be worth speaking to the likes of MNR and Stuart Taylor to see if they have run any yet..

i found it to be a 175 hp evolution of a 954rr engine.. maybe it share the sump conception... i'll may put it in the rear driving a chain diff.. i think it will be safer than in front on a drive shaft.. true?
