Hi all iv just got a bike fuel pump to fit to the car to run my zx9r carbs on a pinto what i would like to now is should it be fitted horizontal or vertical thankyou Graham
Don't think it matters.
Everyone will tell you different.
And tell you to mount it at the tank or at the engine end of the car.
Don't think that really matters either.
Pat...
i have mine swinging about at the back, it works fine.
They allegedly push better than they pull, but im sure it would work either way.
48 degrees from horizontal I believe

Nope, you're definitely wrong there Mark. Should be 42 degrees from the vertical.

mines horizontal at the back of the car... no wait the front of the pump may just be slightly higher than the back, could be 2 degrees maybe slightly
more.

I think I'll mount mine on a gyroscopic bearing to maintain perfect level for maximum power and acceleration at all times
