Ive purchased my engine a 2002 ZX12-R should be here in the morning so hopefully well get sorted for the summer.

I had originally planned for a R1 and had eveything worked out with regards to the plummer sump mods etc but now im not sure what to do with the ZX12-R.

Can anyone help me decide what to do with the sump i have searched on here but cant find much info on modifying the sump or where to get a baffle plate from and anything else needed. Once modify can anyone tell me how thick the sump is.

With regards to the fuel return does it just drop back into the tank via a inlet in the top of the tank?

thats what mines got, but with tank, cooler, electric water pump and braided hoses you are looking at around £1200

We have a chopped/modified sump with baffle plates fitted and a modified pressure relief valve. Drop a U2U to Athoirs, I believe he has just done the same thing to his ZX12R sump and is also considering fitting an Accusump for good measure.

With regard to the fuel return, if you have the original pump from the ZX12R, then you don't need a return to the tank.

Arrived this morning yipee !

I have got original pump so i only need one line running from tank to engine bay ?

I have looked at the pace dry sump obviously cost is a big factor with that but it does look the biz.

How have you guys got on with the modified sump ?

Have you done many track days ?

i read on your site Hellfire that your car runs a bit hot and so you made some bonnet vents apparently the guys selling the dry sump systems say the ZX12-R does get hot as it relies alot on oil cooling rather than water cooling.

Also i tried to get a haynes manuel to add to my collection as i bought an R1 and a Hayabusa one but they dont do one anyone know where i can get one from?

All help appreciated

Found a site here which gives details of parts and part numbers also shows exploded diagrams.

http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/frames.cfm?man=ka&groupid=14220&parent=14190

DO you know whether fiche man is much of the same ?

What i will need is a wiring diagram anyone know where i can get one ?

Give Kawasaki UK a ring. They're extremely helpful and will send you a wiring diagram once you've provided them with your engine number.
