another speedohealer thread!

hi chaps, loads of useful info in the archives about speedohealer, but i cant find how exactly i mount the speedo sender now it has a prop. Someone said i can use the bolts on the sprocket adapter, but magnets are normally mentioned. Any tips for an idiot?!

What sender are you using?

not sure, i probably have both the standard kwak one and a fazer one. Im guessing the standard zx9 one will be easiest.

I tested an industrial generic one and found it fired my fireblade clocks, against steel ie bolt heads rather than actually needing a magnet to operate.
I now have a genuine fireblade sender, but have not tried it on a bench yet so am in a similar position to yourself.
If the blade one works on bolt heads, do I fit it near the 4 propshaft/diff bolts or the 6 driveshaft bolts or do I fit 2 or 3 magents somewhere?
I'm using a yellowbox healer and I dont think they have quite the adjustment range as the speedohealer.
I don't know wether this helps you much or not?
Colin
