R1 sprocket bolt size
JoaoCaldeira - 10/4/06 at 01:07 PM

Hi all.

Forgot to measure when I left home...
Anyone knows what is the size of the bolt that hold the sprocket adapter for a 2002 / 03 R1?

Thanks,
Joao

36mm rings a bell, not 100% though.

36mm is the size of socket you'll need I think, as to the actual bolt thread I don't know either

Could it be 22mm?

Joao

Weird!

I have just been out and fitted my prop adaptor and discovered i need a nut for mine.

Is it a Yamaha dealer job or does anyone know the what thread nut i need for a 1998/99 R1 output shaft?

ChrisGamlin - 11/4/06 at 09:24 PM

Yep it is a nut, the thread is what we're trying to work out, mis-worded above saying bolt

Get the nut and tab washer from a Yamaha dealer - they cost peanuts!

But don't try to give them peanuts in exchange as they aren't UK currency. Unless they're covered in chocolate of course....

The nut and tab washer is a few pounds from the local Yamaha dealer. Best just to get it there.
