wondering if one of you can tell me what diff i need or what would be best cos at the minute its 100mph/10,000rpm and could do with a lsd too really,
what diff and what cars are fitted with them please, i think i just have a 3.62 diff at the moment
all 4x4s are LSD, the v6 ones are 3.62, the 2 litre ones are 3.92. You can make other ratios LSD, but im not familiar with the precise process.
I think you'll need a 3.38/3.36 or a 3.14 the first two are fairly common in diesel sierras. the last ones seems to be quite rare. Any of these
as LSD's will almost certainly have to be built by transfering the CWP (crown and pinion) from a non LSD into a LSD unit (commonly 3.62 or 3.92
ratio)

il post this out of habit i have a brand new 3.14 7" lsd from classic conversions for sale which to save you the bother of asking is too
expensive but a lot cheaper than classic sell them for
easiest way to find a 3.14 is nip down your local scrappy and find a 2.3 diesel sierra but that was about 10 years ago, classic do new 3.38 and 3.15
gearsets but your looking at 600quid for them to convert your diff but it comes back brand new and the 3.14 set is much stronger than the original

for £600 you can pick up a frelander diff with a quaife atb off of ebay, much better lsd and the diff weighs half that of the sierra diff.
atb is a much better slipper but im not sure how tough the freelander diff is as its only popular for the ratio 3.23 plus you would need shafts making to siut i would have thought?
the shafts are just sierra push ins with the inner cv joints changed to the freelander cv joints.
the diff has been used for a couple of year by some of the rgb cars so it seems o be strong enough (i certainly havent heard of one going wrong.)
also it was fitted to the frelander v6 which will be putting far more torque through it than any bec will.
the ratio is 3.21 so a good comprimise between the 3.14/3.38 sierras, its better to suited to the quicker cars that dont want to be doing 7000rpm+ at
motorway speeds, a fireblade locost might find it too long as the car will be more aero limited rather than gearing limited but there are several
fireblade furys using it.
