What is the best way to clean our cooling circuit??

I had some new coolant in, but with the adjustment and stainless parts i putter later in like always i lost fluid, also i saw that it wasnīt anymore of the new colour..

i know that my rad isnīt like new and that the engine should have some
white crap on the alu walls...

searching for a liquid wich will clean my rad and engine nicely...

I used the two part halfords stuff to clear out the v8 and radiator. Can;t really comment on effectiveness - some crud did come out but the cooling system was in good shape anyway (there is some limescal visibile in the rad that it did not remove).

when you top up, use distilled water - cheapest from wilkinsons - porevents scale build up.

Don't waste your cash chaps raid the loved ones kitchen - dishwasher tablets are the bees knees when it comes to cleaning out cooling systems.
Pop one in for a couple of days and you will be amazed - temp comes tumbling down and all sorts of crap flushes out even with a new bloch and rad.
Removes all the oil that creeps in during a rebuild and causes poor heat transfer at the interfaces.

Love the dishwasher tablet thing, BUT it's very alkaline, and doesn't like aluminium. I wouldn't leave it in for long!!!
On a crossflow, however, should be fine.

Good point was OK for a couple of days in my Rover V8 but not a long term thing. Once clean if antifreeze with inhibitor is added should stay OK.
