2003 R1: Is the Oil Filter M20 x 1.5?

Does anyone knows if the Oil Filter M20 x 1.5?

It's not the same as the ones used on Japanese cars if it's like my Honda filter. The thread on the bike is finer than the car filter thread even though the filter looks same, pity really as the car filter is 1/3 the price.

FWIW The filter from my Miata (MX-5) fits my 2003 R1 .

(Both US Spec of course).
